This is Engineering Value Chain Project Lead role for HMS Business. This role will lead Value Chain Cost and Efficiency optimization Project execution, to deliver consistent OPACC through the cycles.
Lead project teams to improve critical business processes that drive financial results. Scope moderate to highly complex projects; develop project plans and business cases. Lead cross-functional global project team members to achieve intended results in a timely manner.

As Project Lead (6 Sigma Black Belt), this role will be asked to lead value chain improvement projects. Project Lead should be capable of leading projects with an average savings per project of $150,000 and concurrently lead 3-5 projects of this magnitude. The majority of these projects will be of moderate to high complexity and focused across functional areas in the value chain.
Lead improvement projects within end-to-end value chain and effectively coordinate these projects with the Project Sponsor, Stakeholders and other project team members. Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining scope, golas and financially justifying, launching project and driving the execution with PMO project management. Also leading cross-functional global teams to execute projects using DMAIC and other methodology, tracking project status and results, removing project barriers, and developing team members capabilities. It is also critical to identify integration with other projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals.
Measure results :
Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which the project goals, objectives and metrics are being met. Provide Project Sponsor with the results and adopt feedback to the project action plan as required to improve any results below target.
Train team members :
Identify all Project Team Members (Green Belts) and adopt to 6 Sigma infrastructure. Provide necessary training and coaching to team members to spread the base of 6 Sigma Problem Solving tools. Ensure projects are integrated with other business strategy.
Ensure multi-channel communication throughout the organization. This includes keeping the Project Sponsor informed of program status and ensuring coordination of activities with other stakeholders. Also, this includes capturing project case histories that can be re-used for other projects.
Provide quantitative data analysis, indicating the scope of the operation including current year and forecast sales, net income, total assets controlled, number of personnel, operating budget, and any other quantitative factors which describe the scope of the operation.
This position has significant impact on the success of overall business. The improvements driven will improve the company’s ability to meet customer expectations, improve quality, reduce cycle times, reduce cost and increase profits.
Must be a results oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker. Must be able to manage risk and ambiguity on a project.
Bachelors Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business or an equivalent level of work experience. 8+ years of professional level experience. Prior 6-Sigma Certification is a plus. Should have project management skills, project team members leadership skills, and good communication skills. Should have knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Supply Chain, Logistics, Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting, Human Resources, and Operations. Must have the ability to learn and do statistical analysis and have basic computer skills. Relocation is available for this position.
