The Platform Safety and Quality team is responsible for all safety and quality-related aspects of the platform and directly supports all Grab’s business verticals and teams across the region. This team drives initiatives to improve User Safety and Quality (consumers, driver-partners, merchants): accidents, harm, food safety and hygiene management, and crime by influencing tech solutions, local policies, frameworks, communications and training as well as sharpening internal processes.
Get to Know The role
This is a regional role where you will have the opportunity to work with cross functional teams as well as country teams to execute projects around maintaining high standards of safety and quality of Grab users. You will collect data, identify gaps, and propose possibilities to improve the efficiency and efficacy of operations. You will also improve or create automation tools to manage the safety and quality standard across the business in Grab. You will also support the team to drive strategic initiatives by re-imagining new or existing operations and solving complex operational problems.
Analysis of rich user behavioural data to surface patterns, trends, and insightsthat help inform Grab’s safety and quality frameworks and contribute to prevention mechanisms;
Develop and communicate insights and recommended actions to stakeholders to manage risk through effective visualisation of data
Develop and improve frameworks and its associated data pipeline, policies and process on user safety and quality;
Operationalise strategic processes/changes and leverage on tools to automate manual operations
Drive standardisation and documentation of processes, ensuring changes are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
Work cross-functionally with country and regional stakeholders to gather input and execute new policies and processes
Support any ad hoc tasks assigned by the team
Possess at least a quantitative Bachelor’s Degree in the following fields- Degree in Computer Engineering, Business Analyst, Information Technology, Data Sciences, Maths or related fields.)
Up to two (2) years of professional working experience as a hands-on analyst in a high-tech company
Strong experience in handling large-scale unstructured data. Experience in SQL or other data handling tools, as well as the ability to uncover insights from the data
Business intelligence experience using tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Google Sheets..
Working experience with automation tools such as Slide and Airflow is an added advantage
The flexibility to work cross-functionally, independently or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment.

Demonstrate strong interest and understanding of Grab’s business
